- They're on the Shoei Studio (掌映) lot, an obvious parody of Toei (東映). While Toei means "Eastern films", Shoei means "Palm Films" to go along the hand motif in this series. The Shoei logo looks like a combination of Toei's and the Tegasword logos.
- Kuon often mentions giving punishment (batsu), but that also is presented with an X, which is Garyuudo's motif. When Kuon talks about prey, he creates an X mark with his hands, unlike Hoeru who creates an O.
- The origin of the name "Kuon" from screenwriter Inoue. His real name, 久光（pronounced as Hisamitsu ひさみつ), means "a character who lost himself a long time ago". The name 久遠 (pronounced as Kuon くおん）is taken from this meaning. Also 久遠 (Kuon) also contains the kanji 遠 (To) from 遠野 (Tono). So after losing himself as "Hisamitsu", the man was given the name "Kuon".[1]
- When Garyuudo summons Akaninger, Kinji says "What is that" (nanja are wa). It might be a slight reference to Ninninger's theme song "Nan ja mon ja ninja".
- TegaJune parallels with Tegasword with Ju being the Japanese word for "gun". June might be from the phrase a "June bride", continuing the bridal motif of the Bridans.
