Wosca might be a reference to the story "Wosca and Her Valiant Cub", a short story about a mythical wolf in "Great Historic Animals" by Ernest Thompson Seton.

- Rian mentions wanting to rebuild Kantai. Kantai is the village where many Makai Priests are raised. Kouga visits Kantai in Beast of the White Night. Kantai is last mentioned in Tougen no Fue in Kouga's timeline. In Yami wo Terasu Mono 25, in Rian's backstory, she is taken to Kantai to train as a Makai Priest at a young age. So Kantai must have been destroyed sometime during the Yami wo Terasu Mono timeline.
- Daigo addresses Seiji as "Doushi" out of respect (Doushi 道士 means "priest" or "man of high morals"). After learning that Seiji's pupils are dead, Daigo starts calling him "Seiji" instead.
