ウメコ Umeko is the fifth member of Tokusou Sentai DekaRanger.

Kodou Koume 胡堂小梅 Actress: Kikuchi Mika (菊地 美香)

Character

She has a lively and friendly personality, but has a tendency to spend her times in bubble bathes. She is tight friends with Jasmine, as well as Murphy, which is a mechanical dog that was placed under her care. Unlike others, she does not have a special ability of her own.

Her tendency is to take bubble baths. Her three rubber ducks are named: Umeyo(ウメヨ), Umenosuke (ウメノスケ), Umegorou (ウメゴロウ).

She's the self-appointed leader of the DekaRangers.

At the end of the series, she starts going out with Sen. We see more of their relationship in the MagiRanger versus DekaRanger movie.

Trivia

  • Kodou comes from the Japanese writer Nomura Kodou (野村胡堂).
  • Koume means "little plum". And her nickname is a reference to Umekobu tea 梅昆布茶.
  • The ko in Kodou means "barbarian".
  • Umeko's actress, Kikuchi Mika, married a former Sentai red for a few years.
