Ultraman is a 2004 film acting as a prequel to Ultraman Nexus, and part of the Ultra N Project. It is also commonly referred to as Ultraman: The Next to distinguish itself from other films also bearing the same name. It was called Ultraman: The Next during the production cycle, but at some point was shortened to just Ultraman. They brought back the name Ultraman: The Next for the manga version of the movie.
