Trivia

• The MOTW is voiced by Shiratori Tetsu (白鳥 哲). "Shiratori (白鳥)" means "swan" or "white-feathered bird". Funny how he's voicing a black crow themed monster. He also voiced Yokubariido in Gokaiger Episode 10.
• This is a KyouryuuBlack episode. The guest, Ebisawa Kenji, was Go-On Black in Go-Onger.
• Episode has Director Sakamoto's signature motorcycle fight scenes.
• The fight vaguely alludes to Mujun or the story of how an invincible shield and a spear that can pierce anything cannot really exist at the same time.
• Ian doesn't bother to look for his friend's lost treasure. At the end, Aigallon has a flashback of giving Doronboss his invincible mantle. He takes out a jewel and looks sadly at it.

Trope

• The monster of the week is a classic example of a phantom thief. He's polite and has an appreciation for aesthetics.
