Trivia

  • The title of the theme song is taken from the surname of Ishinomori Shoutarou, which literally translates as "forest of rocks" (石ノ森).
  • The voice of Xatan is the performer Demon Kakka, which means His Excellency Demon. Fitting for the leader of the Akuma Race.
  • The Fourze story takes place over three days, five years into the future. In the classroom before the Kaijin Alliance walk out, they say Yuuki will be returning to Earth in three days.
  • Miu cancels a meeting regarding the Paris Collection to join Gentarou on his adventure.
  • Shun plays for a football team called the Tanks.
  • At the newsroom where JK works, one of the guys is holding a magazine with Yuuki posing on it with the headline "Astonaut Joujima Yuuki". He works for Real weekly magazine.
  • Nozama's an author of a book called "The Dream Witch and the Magic Ring." Magic ring, eh?
  • Apparently we learn the Hungry Donut shop owner's real name.
  • Hints of Poitrine's identity.
    • Knows Haruto and addresses him as Haru-kun.
    • Owner is missing from Hungry Donuts.
    • Poitrine mentions Mitz Mangrove and Matsuko Deluxe, two transvestite celebrities.
  • There's a pretty good reversal in regards to the kids in the Underworld. They remember reality but the Shunpei and Rinko don't initially. They ask them if they remember, to which Shunpei responds "Is there something we should be remembering?" When they escape, the kids don't remember and they ask Shunpei the same question "Is there something we should be remembering?"

Continuity

  • In the present day, Yuuki remarks to Kengo that they went to the Amazon "last year". This is a reference to the Fourze Hyper Battle Video where Yuuki and Kengo go to the Amazon to search for a special Switch.
  • It's not entirely clear when this movie happens in the present day. Present day Gentarou does not appear to know Wizard yet.
  • In terms of Fourze, this movie appeared five years after Gentarou graduated as well as in a present day when the club are still in school.
  • In terms of Wizard, this movie has to have occurred while Wizard was alive. Was released between episodes 13 and 14 which came out about a month before Beast appeared in the show.
  • The continuity for Wizard is broken when Haruto and the others saw Phoenix's human form which at the time they didn't see yet. It wasn't until Rinko's investigation of Phoenix is when they see his human form.

Director's Cut

Differences

  • The prologue is extended, with more exposition. Eel's time jump is also seen.
  • In a call from the station, Yuuki mentions that she met a friend. This is foreshadowing Nadeshiko's appearance later in the movie.
  • In the theater cut, Kong says nothing but grunts out "Uho!". In the DC, he at least says the word "Psychokinesis" in English.
  • The Kaijin Alliance's motivations are elaborated upon in the DC. They see things like war, poverty, etc. as problems created by the old humans. They wish to use their powers to destroy the old world and create a new, more ideal one.
  • Nezumi also asks "What's the meaning of this?", whereas in the theater cut he would just chitter like a mouse.
  • There's a scene where Poitrine first awakens in the Underworld. She meets the kids and tries to comfort them before Xatan appears.
