Kouta goes to a shop named Charmant, which is French for "charming".

Interestingly enough, this episode of Gaim is directed by Morota Satoshi, who played the flamboyant teacher in Fourze.
In Japanese, there's a separate kanji for male and female phoenix. The O in Oren means "male phoenix".
