  • Leo Horoscopes appears in human form for the first time. This is also the first episode that the Rider Club encounters him.
  • It is revealed that ancient Japanese had control over Cosmic Energy 1000 years ago and that there are structures in Japan that are used to control it.
  • During the fight with Libra, the large amount of Cosmic Energy caused a reaction that made four pillars rise from the ground. The one in Kyoto had a blue X on it, like the one on Fourze's leg.

Trivia

  • Libra Horoscope's motif, a zen monk, is exemplified with actual monks appearing in this episode. They even shout katsu and hit people the way real monks supposedly do. In fact, Gentarou first detects Libra in Kyoto because of the sound of the rings clashing on his staff, very much like the sound of zen monk's staffs.
  • Yuuki carries around a stuffed Hayabusa-kun toy referring to her obsession with that satellite.
  • Oosugi makes a joke about there being no infirmaries in Kyoto when Utahoshi goes off on his own in Kyoto. Referring to Kengo's frequent visits to the infirmary.
  • We learn a little more about how pathetic Oosugi was as a kid. This time he says he was always in a group of one for middle and high school. He calls himself Lonely Oosugi in English.
  • Miu sneezes when Yuuki bad mouths her, because that's the superstition explanation for sneezes in Japan.
  • Yuuki's song about Kyoto sounds an awful lot like her Hayabusa-kun song.
  • When Ryuusei gets between Yukina and Gentarou with a fan, the fan has "Loyalty" written on it.
