- The main hero and protagonist of the series.
- A camper abducted and experimented by Neo-Shocker, but managed to escape from becoming a cyborg that serves them.
- Using his powers programmed into him by Neo-Shocker, Hiroshi combats the sinister organization as Sky Rider.

The series was originally just called Kamen Rider, but later commonly referred to as Sky Rider.
- Sky Rider was intended to be a reboot of the 1971 Kamen Rider series, but was decided to pick up on the Showa Rider continuity whilst bringing back elements from the first installment.
