Anecdotes
- He got his start in the industry because the head of his agency asked him if he wanted to join during a time after he had quit high school. His mother asked him to choose between being a monk, joining the defense force, or being an actor.
- Likes rice, sweets, and spicy foods. Especially likes chocolate and tom yum goong.
- Hobby is karate. In his late 20s he realized he wasn't doing much exercise, so he started going to a dojo near his home.
- Has said that his ideal woman should like cooking as well as counting calories.
- Used to be a heavy smoker, but quit.
Notable events
- Murakami Kohei said he auditioned for the role of Kusaka/Kaixa because he saw Takashi's portrayal of Asakura in Ryuki. He's also said that he hopes to act with Hagino someday.
- Apparently is friends with the stunt actor for Changerion and Kamen Rider Ouja, Okamoto Jirou.
