Personality

He got his start in the industry because the head of his agency asked him if he wanted to join during a time after he had quit high school. His mother asked him to choose between being a monk, joining the defense force, or being an actor.

Likes rice, sweets, and spicy foods. Especially likes chocolate and tom yum goong.

Hobby is karate. In his late 20s he realized he wasn't doing much exercise, so he started going to a dojo near his home.

Has said that his ideal woman should like cooking as well as counting calories.

Used to be a heavy smoker, but quit.

Notable events

Murakami Kohei said he auditioned for the role of Kusaka because he saw Takashi's portrayal of Asakura in Ryuki. He's also said that he hopes to act with Hagino someday.

Apparently is friends with the suit actor for Changerion and Kamen Rider Ouja, Okamoto Jirou.
