Trivia
- Pokane's monster design was apparently inspired from the Cthulhu mythos, according to his profile on the Blu-ray.
- One of the fighters is famous suit actor Niibori Kazuo. Before fighting Sela, he does a pose that's sort of like Red Hawk's pose during the roll call, but not quite. His name in this, Sendai, might come from its similar sound to "Sentai" since he's been a main suit actor for many of the series?
- In the English subtitles, they translate Sela and Leo's lines as "Champion of Rough Sea" and "Champion of Savannah".
- The other fighters are Perfect Warrior Kohki, Sendai, UG, and Lilian.
- Hiramatsu Daisuke (Iwai Kenshiro) was a guest on (episode 8) as Leo's musician friend.
- The date of the tournament is March 31st. The last episode aired February 5th and the Returns didn't come out till June. Unknown if the date has any significance.
- One of the signs translates Monarch of the Earth Tournament as "The Championship of the Earth Champions".
