- Oono's mother is revealed to be named Kazuko (一子) based on the name on her hospital room. When Minoru is first introduced, he says his ninjutsu is from the Oono school and uses the phrase isshisouden (一子相伝) which means "transmission from father to son" which also uses the same kanji.
- The Rumi-lookalike's name is a parody of the actress who portrays her. Instead of it being Asano Akari, it's Asada Hikari. It even uses the same format where the family name is in kanji while the given name is in hiragana.
- Jirou lives in Goda's place. Goda was the rich man who became bored easily from episode 22.
- When the monsters combine, they call themselves "the only two" in reference to how Tarou calls himself "only one" from the opening lyrics.
