- At the end, the KyuuRangers celebrate by eating takoyaki, a Japanese pastry ball that has an octopus tentacle inside. Fitting, since Maadakko is octopus theme and was defeated in this episode.
- After this, KyuuRanger skips a week for golf. The next episode airs June 25th.
- Maadakko uses the pseudonym Takomi (タコ美) to trick Gavan. It means "beautiful octopus". Since Gavan is an idiot, he accidentally starts caling her Takoe (タコ恵) which means "blessed octopus".
- Sen and Umeko ask the KyuuRangers for their interplanetary visa. Hame mishears it as "pizza".
- Sen and Umeko plan to get married soon after the incidents of this episode. The ceremony is taking place on Planet Waiihaa, which is an inversion of the word "Hawaii".
- Ban must have received a promotion, because he introduces himself as the Fire Squad's captain.
