- Kashiwa mochi is a traditional sweet eaten for Children's Day on May 5th. It's mochi with anko (red bean paste) instead and wrapped in an oak (kashiwa) leaf. The koi nobori are a traditional decoration for the same. This episode aired on Golden Week/Children's Day week.
- Kashiwa Mochi World's technique Clapping Hand Cannon (Kashiwade Hou) is a pun on his name.
- Magine ends up eating a sakura mochi, which has similar mochi contents, but is wrapped in a cherry leaf instead an oak leaf. Her sakura mochi is pink like she is.
- Sarabye is a combination of "bye" and "saraba/goodbye".
- Tsuukaizer's official spelling is Twokaizer. This might be because he has the two modes, Shinkenger and OhRanger.
- Koi nobori higher than a roof is apparently a line from a song.
