仮面ライダーフォーゼ
September 4, 2011 - August 26, 2012. (48 Episodes)
The 13th Heisei Rider series. Started on the 40th anniversary of Kamen Rider. Catch phrases are "Switch on the youth" and "Space kitaaa!" 宇宙キター! Fourze is the first rider series to be set almost entirely within the context of a High School. This season's gimmick is the "Astro-Switch", a huge selection of modular devices that augment the primary rider's abilities by being placed within his belt.
The first Kamen Rider series to have a completely digital broadcast.

Horoscopes
The primary antagonists of the series, led by the red-eyed man. The Horoscopes serve as "Commanders" in this series, and are often referred to as The Twelve Apostles. Each individual Horoscope is styled after a star sign. At the series outset the 12 Apostles have not all been gathered. Therefore those who have gathered act in the guise of mentors to a Zodiart minion hoping to guide their development into a Horoscope. In most cases this involves a teacher at Ama High corrupting a student through the temptation of the Zodiart's Astro Switches.
List of the Twelve Zodiac Apostles.
- Zodiarts
- The monsters that plague Ama High. These are basically the equivalent to the monster of the week. They're usually students and people related to the school who have been transformed by Astro Switches. The Zodiarts are a symptom of the Horoscopes goal of gathering the 12 Apostles, and those transformed by the switches are often drawn to their power through unresolved personal conflict, the switch offering them a quick and easy solution at the eventual expense of their human body. Usually the defeat of each Zodiart is achieved through resolution of the user's personal conflict, leading them to reject the switch and its power.
- In case you needed us to point this out, the word Zodiarts is a Portmanteau of Zodiac and Arts. The fact that the word Zodiac is incomplete and juxtaposed by "Arts" could be another example of the concept that the unformed student is being shaped by his Mentor-Commander like unfinished art. Or it could just be that the two English Words sounded cool to the writers.

Kamen Rider Fourze Discography
Trivia
- Fourze in katakana フォーゼ is the last part of the Japanese spelling for "metamorphose" メタモルフォーゼ. Fourze's different forms are called States, like states of a metamorphosis. The four references Fourze's ability to change modules for his four appendages. The number 4 also continues the numerical trend for henshin sequences; Decade uses one card, W uses two GaiaMemory, OOO uses three medals, Fourze uses four Switches. Further, Fourze started on the Kamen Rider 40th anniversary year.
- The episode titles in Fourze have four kanji which refers to the Four in Fourze.
