Trivia

  • The chair Hitomi was sitting on says "Apex" on it.
  • They do a transformation pose like in superhero shows like Sentai. However, there's no transformation sequence in this series, so they purposefully run a text crawl explaining that there isn't one.
  • This is the first episode where the fighting is done outside the battle arena. It's also a parody of the fight sequences from children's superhero shows. The grunts all repeatedly shout "Magii". And they even do a combined weapon attack.
  • Shou says she's Number 28. In Japanese, this can be pronounced niya which is short for niyaniya which means "grinning" and sometimes "romantic atmosphere". For net slang Japanese will often write "2828282828282828" to mean this.
