Inoue Toshiki
井上敏樹
Birth Date: November 28, 1959
From the Saitama prefecture.
Has worked on many tokusatsu TV dramas and anime. Dropped out of Seikei University. His father is also a writer, Inoue Masaru 伊上勝.
Personality
Apparently he has a tendency to befriend the actors who work on the shows he writes for. Ogawa Atsushi was on Changerion, Agito, Kabuto, and Kiva. Murakami Kohei was on 555, Kabuto, Cutie Honey THE LIVE and even has a section of his blog devoted to Inoue. Haga Yuria had major female roles in both 555 and Kiva.
Controversial Works
While being the main writer for many hit works like Jetman and Agito, his writing is sometimes criticized for being overly dark and having unrealistically foolish characters like in 555 or Kiva. Fans also poke fun at his over reliance on characters falling into water as a plot device.
There was also controversy around the circumstances in which he was brought on as lead writer for Hibiki for the latter half of the series. Apparently the producers weren't satisfied with the show direction, which is why there was a writer change. Some fans claim that there is a notable tone difference in Hibiki past episode 30.
