Important things that happened

  • Takeru decides to give his retainers the day off, however, when they invite him to go to the amusement park with him, he refuses. He says he is busy and leaves, and the viewer sees him hold a mysterious orange disc.
  • Ryuunosuke and the others go to the amusement park, while Takeru stays behind to train. He attempts to use the disc but is unable to do so, and Jii tells him that he would need to double his Mojikara in order to use it.
  • Yanasudare starts to rampage in the city and Ryuunosuke and the others are close enough to intercept him. They engage Yanasudare, but all attacks with their ShinkenMarus fail and they are beaten quite easily. Takeru arrives and when he notices that his attacks are useless as well, he has the Shinkengers attack with Mojikara, which does very little damage. Takeru attempts to use the disc, but hesitates in using it. Fortunately, Yanasudare runs out of water and is forced to retreat
  • Demoralized after their loss to the Ayakashi, the Shinkengers seem to have lost hope, but Takeru says that they have the power to defeat them. Jii explains that the disc would require any one of them to double their Mojikara, and Takeru boldly responds by saying that he can do it. In reality, he doubts himself.
  • Takeru trains furiously and without abandon during the night, however all attempts to use the disc fail. Eventually he passes out, and is awoken by Jii, who tells him Yanasudare has reappeared. Even though he is injured, Takeru gets up and sets off to face Yanasudare.
  • Takeru finds Yanasudare just as he is severely beating Ryuunosuke and the others. Takeru challenges Yanasudare one-on-one and after an initial hesitation, he is able to use the disc on his Rekka Daizantou to enable Oozutsu Mode. Using the power of the Oozutsu Mode, the Shinkengers are able to defeat Yanasudare.
  • The Shinkengers call on Shinken-Oh to fight the 2nd life and attempt to fight Yanasudare, but they shocked to find out that katanas still have no effect on him. Takeru summons Kabuto Origami from the Kabuto Disc, which causes Yanasudare to call forth Oonanashi Renjyuu. Takeru forms Kabuto Shinken-Oh and is able to dispatch both Yanasudare and the Oonanashi Renjyuu.
  • Ryuunosuke and the others ask Takeru to join them in redoing their day off, but once again, Takeru refuses and states that he simply wants to go home. He is met by Jii, and Takeru collapses into Jii's arms from physical exhaustion.

New Origami/Weapons

  • Kabuto Origami
  • Rekka Daizantou Oozutsu Mode - Takeru attaches the Kabuto Disc onto Rekka Daizantou to turn it into a bazooka. Oozutsu 大筒 is the Japanese word for an old timey time cannon.

New Moves

  • Go-jyuu no Daichi(Five Heavy Long Swords) - The Shinkengers slash a wave of their respective Mojikara towards an enemy.
  • Kabuto GoRinDan(Kabuto Five Disc Shots) - The Shinkengers each put there respective disc onto Rekka Daizantou, and all 5 are fired at an opponent, hitting him/her with a blast of Mojikara.
  • Kabuto Hou(Cannon) - Kabuto Shinken-Oh fires a wave of Mojikara.
  • Kabuto DaiKaiten Hou(Big Revolving Cannon) - Kabuto Shinken-Oh forms a cannon and rotates it to fire a huge shot of Mojikara at an enemy.

New Gattai

  • Samurai Busou (w/Kabuto Origami) - Combination of Ryuu, Shishi, Kame, Kuma, Saru, and Kabuto Origami. Forms Kabuto Shinken-Oh.

Busou 武装 is the Japanese word for "to arm".

Trivia

  • The name of a samurai's helmet is also called a kabuto 兜 so it's fitting the Kabuto Origami goes on Shinken-Oh's head. Considering the kabuto bug has a large fancy horn on its head, the two terms probably have some shared etymology with each other.
  • The Shinkenger TV-Asahi guy just fails at his job since http://www.tv-asahi.co.jp/shinken/contents/story/0005/ is a broken page. So the episode 5 page is actually http://www.tv-asahi.co.jp/shinken/contents/story/0006/ thus throwing off the episode count until it happens again in episode 7.
