Important things that happened
- Hiyori narrates the prologue in which a meteorite crashed into Shibuya seven years ago. She implies that her family was killed in the incident.
- ZECT initiates the activation of the Masked Rider System to anticipate the threat against the Worms.
- Tendou mysteriously has a Rider Belt. He physically trained in advance because he knew he would use the belt someday.
- The Kabuto Zecter chooses Tendou over Kagami. Tendou transforms into Kabuto.

Trivia
- Kabuto is the 35th anniversary for the Kamen Rider series.
- Hiyori uses the boyish term for "I" in Japanese, "boku".
- When Tendou announces his name, he points to Tokyo Tower and the sun. The path of heaven is another way of saying the path of the sun through the sky.
- When Tendou is exercising, he does his signature kick as Kabuto, which won't appear till episode 2.
- Hiyori appears at the beginning of the B part. After she meets Tendou, we see the flicker of the sun through some trees. Hiyori's last name means "Under the sun".
