- Okayama Amane would later have a guest role in Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo Season 5 File 03.
- Kurasawa Hikaru is obviously a parody of the famous director Kurosawa Akira. Just swap the vowels in the family name, and the kanji for Hikaru can be pronounced Akira.
- The dog's name Poirot is either a reference to Agatha Christie's detective Hercule Poirot or his namesake, Frank Howel Evans' Monsieur Poiret.
