Mondo is similar to Mondou, the Japanese word for "questions and answer", which fits into the Rider quiz theming.
The episode title, The Quiz Shock, is probably a parody of the TV Asahi show The Time Shock.
Despite Sougo's backstory of being strong in history, he loses to Mondo at the history quiz questions.
- Despite there being room for a fourth player, Geiz chooses not to participate, fitting for his standoffish personality.
- The score is kept by putting balls into tubes. Mondo has the most balls, Tsukuyomi has 3 balls, and Sougo and Geiz have zero balls.
When the dummy falls, the piece of paper on his face has Shinobi written in hiragana in such a way to make a face.
The Quiz Driver is the first Rider belt voiced by a woman since Kivaara on Movie Taisen 2010.

Like Shinobi, Kamen Rider Quiz is also a former Sentai alum. Suzuki Katsuhiro was Red Buster from Go-Busters.
