Trivia

Kamakiri-Khameleon Aug's broken mask
Grasshopper-Aug 2's broken mask
Butterfly-Aug's broken mask
  • The term Prana is thrown around frequently in the movie. It's a Sanskrit word that means "breath", "life force", or "main principle".
  • "I" pronounced in Japanese would be Ai, which looks like A.I. The Japanese word for artificial intelligence is "Jinkouchinou" which might be what J is named after.
  • Grasshopper-Aug 2 uses his Rider Chop attack to chop down a portion of the Kamakiri-Khameleon Aug's front mask, the face can be seen. In the final battle, Grasshopper-Aug 2 head bumps Butterfly-Aug and their masks break open.
  • At the end of the movie, the Government Man reveals his name as Tachibana (立花). A reference to Tachibana Toubei (立花藤兵衛), the supporting character in the original series.
    • Also, the Intelligence Agency man reveals his name as Taki (たき). A reference to Taki Kazuya (滝和也), the man who supports both Hongou and Ichimonji in their fight against Shocker in the original series.
  • At the end of the movie, Ichimonji wears a new Grasshopper-Aug mask. The name at the back of the mask is written as Grasshopper-Aug 2.0+1.0 which the number is a homage to the title of the Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time movie.
  • At one part of the movie, Ruriko's line is not voiced, but we see her lips move. It's possible she's saying "yuigon/遺言" which means "my will".
