Yanma Gast's name is derived from "yanma" (dragonfly) and the scientific name for the golden-ringed dragonfly, Anotogaster sieboldii.
Hymeno Ran's name is derived from "ran" (orchid) and the scientific name for the orchid mantis, Hymenopus coronatus.
Rita Kaniska's name is derived from "ruritateha" (blue admiral butterfly) and its scientific name, Kaniska canace.
Kuguragi Dybowskii's last name is derived from the scientific name for the black hornet, Vespa dybowskii.
Racles Husty's first name is derived from "Hercules beetle" (the Japanese name uses the Greek pronunciation, Heracles)
