Champ's alter ego, Yagyuu Juubei (ヤギュウジュウベエ), is taken from the famous samurai of the same name. Champ probably chose it because Yagyuu in Japanese can mean "buffalo".
The kanji on Yagyuu's mask means cow/bull (牛).
