- The theme song Never Surrender plays when Baron transforms into Mango Arms. This song is sung by Team Baron.
- Mango is matador themed. His giant mace weapon might be inspired from this monster in Monster Hunter.
- Both of Baron's forms have horns on the helmet. For Banana Arms, his horns are bananas which are turned up. For Mango Arms, his horns are bull horns that are turned forward.
- Tokyo is mentioned, so this story could take place in the real world.
- Movie footage is shown in the opening for the first time.
- Kouta applies to a part-time job at a restaurant. The pay is 1000 yen per hour.
- They start referring to the zipper openings between worlds as Tears, like the ones from Bioshock Infinite.
- Micchi is seen with the Watermelon Lock Seed, but the lock has turned grey and black. It won't open, so Micchi theorizes that it won't open again till its colors are restored.
