The Boukengers find that an Ashu named Ogre has been revived.
It is learnt that Ogre and Eiji's mother were close friends, and that Ogre was furious to learn that she married a human, and was intent on killing Eiji.
Eiji eventually defeats Ogre, who discards his body to grow giant, and gets defeated again by DaiTanken.
However, when Eiji tries to destroy Ogre's soul, Ogre turns Eiji into stone.
Meanwhile, the Questers obtain a Precious called Mercurius' Receptacle in the midst of the distraction.
