==Important things that happened==
*The police officials are disappointed at G3 performing below their expectations in the battles against the Unknowns. They would like to improve the G3 Unit's operation for future battles, so they assign Tsukasa Ryuuji to inspect the activities of the team.
** In the past, Tsukasa and Houjou were partners together. During an assignment, Houjou recklessly tried to arrest a culprit, but the man fired a shot at him. Tsukasa was left wounded because he took the shot to protect Houjou. Tsukasa got his wound treated; simultaneously he learned a shocking news about his little sister was murdered.
*Aki mysteriously disappeared from the Misugi family. Shouichi received an envelope from her, however inside the envelope is just a key to her apartment and no letter. Shouichi chooses to live independently in her apartment to wait for her return. He believes if she ever returns to live together, they can communicate to each other more often and it might help him to regain his past.
*Shouichi works at Hanamura Bakery owned by Hanamura Sashi. While closing the shop at night, Hanamura gives all his bread recipes to Shouichi. He wishes Shouichi to continue running the shop if he someday suddenly disappears. The pickle sandwich is particularly important as he clarifies it's his masterpiece among the recipes. Hanamura rides home on his bicycle; he is ambushed and killed by a man wearing a hoodie.
