Inuzuka Tsubasa's birthday is April 3rd.
Inu Brother's transformation chant puns "wonderful" with "wan" which is the Japanese sound for "bark".
Detective Sayama Kenji is named after the Sayama Jiken (The Sayama incident) in which the police were accused of forcing a confession from a minority over a brutal murder in Japan during the 1960s.
Takada Masashi (cop) and the OL and thief (Otsuka Yuuki and Teramoto Shogo) are all stunt people.
Previously, Haruka's editor was only credited by her title, but in this episode she is given a name.
Tsubasa's line about being born a criminal is a callback to episode one when Haruka said she was born a genius. Tsubasa, however, veers away from the line right away.
Haruka's Prince of Basketball series is an obvious ripoff of the Prince of Tennis series.
Keiasatsuki (警察鬼) and Keiasatsuking (警察鬼ング) are named after PatRanger's title name, "Keisatsu" (警察).
