There were eight victims to the first Spider Amazon. They frequently joked that the victims were oyatsu/snacks. Oyatsu is another way of saying "eight" in Japanese.
Ryuusuke has the word dragon in his name (ryu). He turns into the Dragonfly Amazon.
The first episode is named AMAZONZ. The second episode is named BEAST INSIDE. It could be that the episode titles will follow an alphabetical order, explaining why AMAZONZ ends with a Z.
Series trope - Most Kamen Riders fight either a spider or a bat kaijin in the first episode of their series.

Actor Trivia

Miyazawa Juri and Baba Ryouma were both in Super Sentai. Ryouma appeared as part of the main cast of Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters, while Juri was a guest star of Shuriken Sentai Ninninger episode 22.
