Kashiwa mochi is a traditional sweet eaten for Children's Day on May 5th. It's mochi with anko (red bean paste) instead and wrapped in an oak (kashiwa) leaf. The koi nobori are a traditional decoration for the same. This episode aired on Golden Week/Children's Day week.
- Kashiwa Mochi World's technique Clapping Hand Cannon (Kashiwade Hou) is a pun on his name.
- Magine ends up eating a sakura mochi, which has similar mochi contents, but is wrapped in a cherry leaf instead an oak leaf. Her sakura mochi is pink like she is.
Sarabye is a combination of "bye" and "saraba/goodbye".
Tsuukaizer's official spelling is Twokaizer. This might be because he has the two modes, Shinkenger and OhRanger.
Koi nobori higher than a roof is apparently a line from a song.

Kattanaa references Shinkenger by being named after a katana blade. He's modeled after Shinken-Oh. Kattanaa's official name is Cuttanner.
- Rikkii references OhRanger with riki meaning "power" and the series being Chouriki Sentai OhRanger. Rikkii is modeled after OhRanger Robo. Rikkii's official name is Ricky.
Zox tries to pay in pongi, the currency used in KyuuRanger.
