Sanako offers Shinji a place to stay at Atori. Ren disapproves of this since he and Shinji are involved in the Rider Battle.
As an apology for getting him caught up in the Sakura company incident, Kitaoka takes Shinji out for a treat.
Reiko eventually discovers the story of the gold crayfish is nothing but a fraud.
Ryuki destroys the other Zebraskull Mirror Monster, but is attacked by Zolda.

Ren appears to have better experiences with daily life activities than Shinji.
- He criticizes Shinji for wearing dirty shoes, not holding his tray properly, and having a poor attitude.
- Unlike Shinji, Ren washes tableware properly and carefully.
Kitaoka flirts with Reiko, but gets rejected by her, as it was inappropriate of him to do so during work time.
At the pool, Shinji learns that Kitaoka values desires. Kitaoka mentions having "eternal life" to fulfill one's desires but does not elaborate further.
Reiko exposes the elderly man for modifying animals with all sorts of things to convince people that his "discoveries" are real.
- She also finds out that the smoke from a factory also had nothing to do with the "strange animals", but was only causing a new type of influenza.
Unfortunately for the elderly man, he was killed by the Zebraskull Mirror Monster.
