The title of this episode is a reference to the film Kotaro Breaks Through! (コータローまかりとおる!, Kōtarō Makaritōru!), released by Toei in 1984 and based on the manga of the same name.
This episode was aired on 45th anniversary of first episode in the history of Super Sentai Franchise. The first episode of Himitsu Sentai Gorenger - Ep. 1: The Crimson Sun! The Invincible Gorengers - had a TV premiere on April 5, 1975.
