The Transport Research Center was a research facility where Hiromu and Youko's parents worked. On Christmas 1999, the Messiah computer virus wrecked havoc on the facility's computer systems. It threatened to take control of the world's communication, power, and defense systems. The remaining scientists trapped Messiah by teleporting the research center into the Subdimension.
