Trivia
- A new commander is introduced, but the intro section isn't updated.
- Masakage accidentally calls Kyuuemon, Hachiemon. The joke here is that kyuu is Japanese for 9 and hachi is Japanese for 8.
- Tsugomori Masakage is voiced by Nakao Ryusei whose other famous Sentai role is Agent Abrera from DekaRanger, which coincidentally (or not) is releasing a new special this fall.
- When they arrive home from school, Fuuka has Nagi carry her bag (albeit just 3 feet) to the table. Showing some dominance over the easygoing Nagi.
- When Starninger declares that he'll no longer help the Ninningers, he disappears in a puff of smoke, leaving the apron that he wore in a previous episode behind. The apron was not on his person before he disappeared.
- Before Nagi leaves the scene to get drinks at lunch, Kasumi calls Yakumo over. Probably to set up a counter attack on the trap layers that we see in a later scene. It's unknown why Fuuka and Takaharu were left out of this plan.
- Kinji reveals that the photo is of his late brother and father, who were killed by a Youkai when he was a child.
- Joutan Kaiyou Kenjuri inpuu Giigijigenjigenja (ジョウタンカイヨウケンジュリインプウギイギジゲンジゲンジャ！) becomes "fuu-in shuri-ken you-kai tan-jou / come to life Sealing Shuriken Youkai"
- According to the captions, the one doing the commentary at the end of the race is Nagi.

- Takaharu describes the Ninnin Game before the episode begins.
- During the ending theme, there's a guess the number of colored fireworks there are. The colors match the colors on the remote for TV's in Japan.

- There's a Super Hero Time pre-episode segment with Drive.
- The addition of Masakage on the TV Asahi page is "Ninbg y5.png". There is not page or image for y4 though, presumably this spot is being saved for the last silhouetted commander of Kibaoni's.
