The Kamen Rider OOO and Kamen Rider W winter crossover movie.

The second movie in the Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider: Movie Taisen series.

Catchphrase:

Kamen Rider, go to the Core of the Earth.
(仮面ライダー、地球の中心「核(コア)」へ。)

Story

Kamen Rider Skull: Message for W

仮面ライダースカル メッセージforダブル

  • It's the day of Terui Ryuu and Narumi Akiko's wedding but a Pteranodon Yummy with the Memory Memory interrupts the day. It uses the power on Akiko who relives the memories of her father, Narumi Soukichi, of how he became Kamen Rider Skull.

Kamen Rider OOO: Nobunaga's Ambition

仮面ライダーオーズ ノブナガの欲望

  • Kougami digs up the corpse of Oda Nobunaga and creates a new body for him. Eiji encounters Nobunaga while trying to stop a monster killing people.

Movie Taisen Core

Movie War Core (MOVIE大戦CORE)

  • OOO and W cross paths. Both Riders fight against the creation of Kamen Rider Core together.

Kamen Riders

Kamen Rider Skull Crystal (仮面ライダースカル クリスタル)
Kamen Rider Birth (仮面ライダーバース)
Kamen Rider Core (仮面ライダーコア)
Kamen Rider OOO Tajador Combo (仮面ライダーオーズ タジャドルコンボ)

Dopant/Yummy

Spider Dopant (スパイダー・ドーパント)
Memory Owner: Seiichiro Matsui
  • A Dopant who posts himself as Kumo Otoko, Spider Man.
Bat Dopant (バット・ドーパント)
Memory Owner: Komori Eren
  • A Dopant who sold Matsui the Spider Memory.
Pteranodon Yummy (プテラノドンヤミー)
  • Male voiced by: Shimoyama Yoshimitsu
  • Female voiced by: Michizoe Ami
  • Two Pteranodon Yummies were in the movie. The first one is male and somehow got its hands on the Memory Memory before encountering Nobunaga as Kamen Rider Birth. Its origin remains unknown. Then, it was defeated by Accel and Birth (Gotou). The second one was a female and created from Yoshino's ballet shoe when her dream of dancing was broken due to a piece of wall smashing her ankle. That one was defeated by the Gatakiriba Combo. These Yummies, or at least others of the same type, reappear in Kamen Rider OOO when OOO's Putotyra form debuts and are destroyed by him.

Movie Characters

W

Narumi Soukichi / Kamen Rider Skull (鳴海荘吉 / 仮面ライダースカル) - Kikkawa Koji
  • Akiko's father and the first Kamen Rider in Futo. While protecting Futo's song princess, Melissa, he became involved in the Dopant cases. Soukichi became Kamen Rider Skull with the help of Shroud, who was his childhood friend and also provided all of his tech.
Seiichiro Matsui / Spider Dopant (松井誠一郎 / スパイダー・ドーパント) - Yamamoto Taro
  • Soukichi's partner who was in love with Melissa. Using the Spider Memory, he became the Spider Dopant. As the Spider Dopant, he is able to create webs and scale walls easily. Also he can create spiders that act as bombs. These spiders can attached to people and be transferred when they touched a person they loved. When the transfer happens, the victim is cocooned in webs before exploding.
Melissa (メリッサ) - Yamamoto Hikaru
  • Futo's song princess and Narumi Soukichi's client.
Komori Eren / Bat Dopant (小森絵蓮 / バット・ドーパント) - Kadena Reon
  • Possibly the first GaiaMemory dealer. She uses the Bat Memory to become the Bat Dopant. Besides being able to fly, she can use supersonic waves to destroy objects or even control machines. Her last name almost spells Koumori, Japanese for "bat".
Yaguchi Kozo (矢口孝三) - Satoi Kenta
  • President of the talent agency that Melissa is with. He's been supplying female talent to Komori for GaiaMemory tests.

OOO

Nobunaga / Armored Warrior Kaijin (ノブナガ / 鎧武者怪人) - Ohkuchi Kengo
  • Revived by Kougami by using Cell Medals to create a new body. Called Nobu-kun by Eiji and Hina. While able to learn and succeed in the world rather quickly, he held a grudge over the people responsible for his death centuries ago. He assumes a Greeed-like form in samurai armor to kill the descendants.
Akechi Yoshino (明智よしの) - Sayako
  • Hina's sempai who specializes in ballet. She peaks the interest of Nobunaga due to her dancing and also being the descendent of Akechi Mitsuhide, whose betrayal is one of the causes of Nobunaga's death.

Movie Taisen Core

Kamen Rider Core (仮面ライダーコア)
  • Voiced by: Tachiki Fumihiko
  • Created from a combination of the Black Core Medals and Memory Memory. It's a giant covered by flames and able to transform his legs into a motorcycle. It can emit a green laser that can destroy with ease.

Trivia

  • Skull is the main character of the story in the W Part and he plays a bigger role than W. That's why the movie's banner includes "Featuring Skull".
  • This is the first appearance of the Medal Holder. Hina will give it to Ankh as a present later in the TV series.
  • This is the first appearance of the Condor Medal. The Kujaku Medal was shown at the end of episode 14.
  • This was the second time that CycloneJoker Gold Xtreme was used. The first time was in Kamen Rider W FOREVER: A to Z / The GaiaMemories of Fate.
  • Ankh was detached from Shingo for quite some time when he was helping OOO and W with their fight against Kamen Rider Core. It would be amazing if Shingo managed to survive that long.
  • In the music hall scene, young Shoutarou and Marina were there. It fits with them being friends as children. Also Jinno was just an uniformed cop at the time.
  • Matsui shares quite a few similarities to Philip. He is rather smart and researches for clues by using bookshelves at the library.
  • Melissa is portrayed by Yamamoto Hikaru who portrays Akiko in the series. Like Matsui and Philip, she shares some commonalities with Akiko like being the chief of the Narumi Detective Agency and hitting people with shoes. Even Akiko mentions how similar they are to each other.
  • The Spider and Bat Dopants are homages to the first two kaijins in the first Kamen Rider series.
  • The ending song HEART∞BREAKER is sung by Ohguro Maki and Kikkawa Koji. The name on the single is DaiKichi which is from the first kanji of their surnames. It means Great Luck. Also Ohguro Maki sings the OOO Opening while Kikkawa Koji is Narumi Soukichi and sings Nobody's Perfect as well.
  • This is the only Movie Taisen movie that doesn't have a scene of the new Rider appearing soon after the credits. Movie Taisen 2010 has Accel and Mega Max has Meteor at the end. This is the first appearance of Birth. Since Birth actually appears in the movie, there's no need for him to appear at the last minute like the others.

Actor Trivia

Canon

The movie is canon for W but for OOO, it's considered to be not canon.

Reasons that it's not canon for OOO:

  • The Medal Count shown at the end of the OOO part of the movie doesn't match at any point in the series especially during the beginning of the series.
  • Eiji was using the Medal Holder. The Medal Holder hasn't appeared in the series at this point.
  • Ankh didn't really trust Eiji with all the Core Medals in the TV series. So Eiji using a bunch of Medals at his disposal without Ankh is quite odd at this point in the series or rather it was a constant issue.
    • However in the DC Ankh gives Eiji the Medal Holder. So this point might not really count.
  • The Pteranodon Yummies produced a bunch of Cell Medals when they died. This is an oddity because when they appear in the TV series, killing them only nets one Cell Medal. Also their appearance in Core wasn't mention in the TV series when Eiji and the others saw the Pteranodon Yummy in the TV series.
  • The Black Core Medals weren't mention once in the TV series even though the Sasori has appeared on Cell Medals used by Birth.
  • Gotou being Kamen Rider Birth in the Movie War Core part wasn't mentioned at all in the TV series. He had to go through training in order to use the Birth Gun without the armor in the series. He didn't become Birth until very late in the series.
    • And no one knows about Birth until Date shows up in it.
  • Ankh getting a hold of the Kujaku and Condor Medals is quite different in the TV series. Condor hasn't even been mentioned in the TV series when the movie was released.
  • The major reason why Movie Core isn't canon for OOO is the existence of Gill. He's supposed to be the Dinosaur Greeed. In the TV series, the Purple Core Medals that would be used for the Dinosaur Greeed were sealed and kept by Maki until he removed one of them to make them active. It's rather hard to have the existence of Gill and the events that led to the Purple Medals inhabiting Eiji and Maki to coexist in the same universe.

An extension of the movie with additional footages that are not shown in the theatrical cut.

Ankh tells Eiji about the murder he saw and warns Eiji about Nobu-kun before he had to go somewhere.
  • Extended beginning shot of Kougami and Nobu-kun talking in the limo. Sataonka and Gotou are also in the limo. When Gotou sees the Birth Driver, he is shocked. Nobu-kun is being dropped off before continuing an extended scene in the limo. Gotou asks Kougami why he gave the Birth Driver to Nobunaga which he responds that it's just an experiment and that Nobu-kun isn't going to be around much longer since he's a puppet.
  • In the original version, the battle between Birth and the Pteranodon Yummy was one entire sequence. In the DC, after the girl's leg is trapped under a car, it goes to Cous Coussier where Eiji asks Hina if he's boring. Then they watched the news of the attack occuring in real time before going back to the battle. After Nobunaga finished his thought, the scene goes back to Cous Coussier where Eiji and Hina see Nobu-kun cancels his transformation from Birth on TV.
  • Extended shot of OOO in Takatoratah before cutting back to Hina and Yoshino.
  • New scene where Nobunaga is in a meeting is unable to recall what a cell phone is before going out of control.

  • W's first line occurs before he jumps at the Pteranodon Yummy instead of after causing it to fall with HeatJoker.
  • Extended scene at the end when Shoutarou and Philip learned about Akiko took away the Accel Memory and Driver.
  • In the next scene, Shoutarou gives a narration about why Akiko started to hate on Kamen Riders. Also when she says her friends, boyfriend, and dad are Riders, a picture of each Rider shown at each point. When Soukichi speaks, a image of her when she was a child was shown.
  • In the first scene with the Narumi Detective Agency, when Akiko's father mentions ghosts, an image of the SkullGarry appears. When Melissa initially calls, the scene is slightly extended to mention that she is Futo's singing princess and the shadow chief of Narumi Detective Agency.
  • After the title, a new scene where Soukichi and Matsui are heading to Melissa which Matsuri gives Soukichi a guide to be a bodyguard. He throws it back of the car.
  • Shortly at arriving at the entrance of the music hall, Komori is there and gets bumped into by a random person. This person ends up on the ground by her before she goes inside.
  • Extended scene at the end of Soukichi meeting Stone.
  • Extended scene at the beginning of Soukichi finding President Yaguchi.
  • Before going back to Skull's story, Shoutarou recaps the story of Begin's Night.
  • A new scene of Melissa singing while walking on the docks. She encounters Soukichi which he figured out the Spider Dopant's identity which she already knew. Melissa wants him to get the Spider Dopant to admit his sins. Soukichi meets Shroud on the docks which she tells him that the Spider Dopant can't be saved by a Memory Break.
  • When images of the Spider Dopant's "ones" are being shown, there was one image that wasn't shown which was an "one" on a piece of paper.
  • Extended fight scene between Soukichi and Matsui.
  • Flashback of the spider killing President Yaguchi shown after Soukichi says "That spider..."
  • Extended scene before the flashback of the Spider Dopant taking Melissa backstage. Some lines were rearranged during the scene as well and no flashback of Melissa jilting at Soukichi. New flashback scene of Matsuri taking Melissa back to the stage.
  • The Bat Dopant says an additional line which Melissa will die as well before Soukichi transforms into Skull.
  • Extended shot of Melissa being in the Spider Dopant's web before Skull arrives.
  • Flashback scene of Matsui and Soukichi occurs before Soukichi starts counting his sins.
  • Like in the Count the Medal screen previously, the Memory screen for W has a black bar with the words Director's Cut in it.
  • In the original version, the credits and ending theme began playing when Akiko starts walking down the aisle and there was a small video playing during the credit crawl. In the DC, the final scenes for W and OOO are in fullscreen and their respective end of the arc music is played.
  • After the final OOO scene is over, the credits displayed the Taka, Tora, and Batta Medals first instead of the Cyclone, Joker, and Skull Memories. Also the Accel Memory is shown along with Taka, Kujaku, and Condor Medals.

The Director's Cut was released only in DVD over the years, but the Blu-ray was eventually released on July 13, 2022 (2022-07-13) with the title as Kamen Rider W THE MOVIE DIRECTOR'S CUT Blu-ray BOX feat. Decade & OOO. Because the title is referring to W, so the Blu-ray BOX also includes the Director's Cut of Movie Taisen 2010 and W FOREVER: A to Z / The GaiaMemories of Fate.
