ツーショット

Definition: A picture taken with two people in the shot.

Apparently this isn't actually a made-up Japanese term. However, it's used a lot more frequently in Japanese culture.

Examples

  • In Japanese commercials, the announcer will say something like "You can have a two shot taken with this character/person."
  • In the Oreimo games a Two Shot is one of the game mechanics. These scenes typically involve the player character's first person perspective as they choose dialogue choices to try to persuade a girl in one way or another.
