- Two Kabedons in this episode. Silver kabedons Fuuka. And Dracula kabedons Ariake.
- Vampire tropes: Kinji explains that this version of Dracula isn't affected by daylight. But he is weak to garlic. He also sucks life energy instead of blood, probably to make it less scary for kids and because blood is rarely shown on Japanese TV.
- If you look at the card, the guy works for Kyoei (京映), a parody of Toei (東映). The joke is that if you take the To from Toei and the Kyo from Kyoei, you get Tokyo.
- It's even got a triangle for the logo (although instead of being vertical, the kanji is horizontal, stretching out the triangle in an ugly fashion.)
- On James Satou's business card, it says his e-mail is sato//jamez`@kyo//ei.co.jp
- Fuuka's friends Kana and Mariko are back. They were last seen in Shinobi no 08.
- Silver speaks in halting Japanese, because he's not a native. He also uses a lot of English words. His actor is actually Korean. Perhaps this is a comment on the popularity of Korean media at this time?
